I have shared my frame and my friendss name comes up on my frame but the photos they sent is located in their messages but not on my frame. What am i missing.. please help

Hi. I purchased a frame as a Christmas gift for someone and the frame is not working. Completely black screen turn it on and goes to Frameo screen then black again. Is there a way of getting a replacement frame??
